Slayer Tycoon Slayer vs Demon Factions

How the two-player tycoon actually splits power.

Last updated:

Slayer Tycoon’s marketing line is “2 player combat-based tycoon.” The mechanic behind that sentence is the faction pick on the pad. One side buys breathings and defensive base parts. The other buys Blood Demon Arts and an udon shop. Both share the waterfall fighting styles and the overworld map. This page is the decision, not the anime lore.

If you have not claimed a pad, start with getting started. If you already picked and regret it, you rebuild on a new pad — the session still does not save.

Slayer pad

  • Katana Sensei for $5,000.
  • Nurse heal building.
  • Wisteria barrier that kills non-teammates who enter (some teleports bypass).
  • Access to breathing styles, including Insect as the budget opener and Mist/Sound as peel.
  • The Master at Slayer HQ is a Slayer-story NPC for marks, but any account with the pass can walk there.

Slayer is the “hold the bank” faction. If your duo hates losing ore, the flower wall is the feature, not the katana glow.

Demon pad

  • Art Sensei for $5,000.
  • Udon shop (about $500) for kiting bosses.
  • Access to demon arts, including Rooting Gun and Shockwave.
  • Muzan as the awaken vendor (castle / night spawn).
  • v2.0 Demon Doctor House in the forest as an extra tycoon themed around Tamayo.

Demon is the “delete the train” faction. Shockwave plus a stack of udon is still the most copied PvE plan on this wiki.

If both of you pick Slayer, you will screenshot matching haori and lose every art-only tool. If both pick Demon, you will have udon and no wisteria to hide in.

Solo

v2.0’s Solo Player Style (about $72k–$76k) is the olive branch. It does not spawn a second faction shop on your pad. You still pick Slayer or Demon. Pick Demon if you want Shockwave PvE without a partner. Pick Slayer if you want Mist i-frames while you mine. Then save for Solo Style if the waterfall money is there.

Robux and faction

Fire God is a Slayer-side pass. Moon Art is a Demon-side pass. Sun Tools, Easy Teleport, and Awaken help both. Do not buy Moon Art on a Slayer pad and expect the Art Sensei to appear. Pass list: tools.

If your partner disconnects, you keep the faction you picked. You cannot “inherit” their Sensei. That is why the banker should not be the only person who knows the miner route, and why the farmer should still own a roll. A 12-player server will not wait for a reconnect. Hop together or finish the kit you can still afford.

NPC list for the actual click targets, PvP for how wisteria and udon change fights, awakening for Master vs Muzan, and v2.0 for Solo Style plus HQ.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Slayer or Demon better in Slayer Tycoon?

Demon farms bosses faster with Shockwave. Slayer banks safer with wisteria and Mist. A duo should split.

Can I change faction mid-session?

Claim a different pad if one is free. Progress on the old pad stays behind — and none of it saves on leave anyway.

Does Solo Player Style give both shops?

No. It is a fighting style. You still have one faction Sensei. See fighting styles.

Which faction should buy accessories?

Either. The merchant is shared and the items save. Accessories.
